The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has ranked colorectal cancer as number two in the list of leading causes of death for men and women. Eating a high fiber and nutrient dense diet is highly encouraged to prevent colon polyps from forming and eventually grow to become cancerous. 


Kate Zeratsky, Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist for Mayo Clinic Minute shared that eating a wholesome plant-based diet, can also promote regular vowels and balance bacterial growth. She also advised to add high fiber with fruit, vegetables, whole grains, ground seeds and nuts can also help with other digestive diseases, diabetes and aid weight loss.
